The people I met in this company have changed my life. It may feel weird that you are in a totally different culture from your home country initially. However, Japanese people say "Arigatougozaimasu", which means "Thank you", and also "Otsukaresamadesu", which means "Thanks for your working" often. You feel they really care about people around them--not just passengers, but also crew members. Maybe it is just a word, but it makes me feel I’m being cared for, and my works are appreciated. Even though I am an overseas CA, the company also cares about us. They constantly check on our status and are also willing to hear our feedbacks, which I think makes this job different from others in Hong Kong

Another thing I experienced in ANA is "Japan Quality". And for me, "Japan Quality" means able to respond to the unspoken needs. Japanese don't like making requests. They think it may bother other people and bring trouble to other people. Our job, as a cabin attendant, is to meet passengers’ needs. We need to have good observation skills in order to catch the unspoken needs. And this skill moulds me to be a more considerate person, which is essential for being a good cabin attendant.
This job creates an excellent environment for me to train my Japanese language skill. When you work together with Japanese colleagues, you can learn how they speak the language, the accent, intonation, and even grammar! If you love Japanese language and culture, working in ANA will make you enjoy your life in a Japan company more.
